We finally got some rain in Phoenix…can I get an AMEN? We actually got a couple of days of evening rain and right now it looks like something may be heading our way again. Yahooo!
So let’s move onto the report!
First, let us have a moment of silence for the cucumbers…they have been pulled and added to the compost pile. That nasty heat wave in June just fried them and I couldn’t get them back.
First up on the report today – the cherry tomatoes. I cut these back almost 2 weeks ago and this plant is coming back with a vengeance. If you look closely you’ll see a little yellow blossom. 🙂
The Pink Brandywine is also showing some promising growth.
But the Golden Jubilee seems to be going the way of the cucumbers…
I finally decided to put a cage around the green bell peppers. I think the bird issue is getting better.
The sweet potatoes are making a come back. Hoping to serve these at Thanksgiving! And last…but NEVER least….drum roll please
T H E W A T E R M E L O N S!
These grew more than 2 ft in length in one week! They are 3.8 ft from the box. YOWZERS!
